II. PRE-TUTORIAL

1. Semuanya dikerjakan via PC
2. Jika anda menggunakan Windows berbasis 32 Bit, pakai patcher Xdelta 32-bit, dan sebaliknya jika menggunakan 64 bit, pakai patcher Xdelta 64-bit (kedua file terdapat pada "Xdelta3 Tools")

III. TUTORIAL MEMBUAT CFW 4.40 VERSI KAMU SENDIRI

1. Rename "PS3UPDAT.PUP" (OFW 4.40) jadi "PS3UPDATOFW.PUP" (tanpa tanda kutip, untuk mempermudah proses berikutnya)
2. Taruh file PS3UPDATOFW.PUP, Xdelta3.exe, dan 440mltjra.xdelta di drive "D:" HDD anda.
3. Buka command prompt (cmd) via start menu dalam keadaan "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR" (khusus windows Vista/7/8)
4. Ketik "D:" (tanpa tanda kutip) pada command prompt dan tekan 
5. Ketik :

xdelta3-d-sPS3UPDATOFW.PUP440mltjra.xdeltaPS3UPDAT.PUP

Pada commad prompt (catatan : = 1 space antara tiap-tiap command)

6. Tunggu proses patching sampai selesai.
7. File PS3UPDAT.PUP muncul di direktori yang sama dengan PS3UPDATOFW.PUP, dimana file "PS3UPDAT.PUP" tersebut adalah CFW 4.40 buatan kamu sendiri.
8. Selesai.

IV. CATATAN

Jika anda telah berhasil mempatch file OFW tersebut menjadi CFW, jangan lupa check, apabila MD5-nya adalah :

Berarti anda telah berhasil, itu adalah file CFW 4.40 yang siap di install di PS3 anda.
